Description
A break-even calculator allows you to see how many units of a product you need to sell to cover all the costs involved in producing and selling the product. In other words, it tells you when you break even and start making a profit.
The main benefit is that it can give you clarity on how much money you can expect to make and after how many sales. It can also help you see which areas you may want to work to reduce costs in order to increase profit margins. (You can read more about it and why this tool is so valuable in this blog post).
And the best part is, there are a bunch of fancy formulas already in it so all you need to do is plug in some numbers and voilà! You can quickly and clearly see your break even points.
My friend and finance guru Andres made this EXACT template for Jenna Rainey LLC and I thought “This would change LIVES!! We NEED to have this in our shop!!” I’ve been using it to play with numbers and test out the feasibility of a new big idea before jumping in and it’s impacted big decisions.
So, if you’re ready to get a better pulse on your costs and break even point for your next project, this spreadsheet is for you!
