What is your favorite subject to paint? I love to not only be in nature, but also to paint it — watercolor trees, flowers, landscapes…
And in this tutorial I'm switching it up a bit for you.
I have an entire playlist on YouTube with how-to's on Leaves, Trees, and Plants. The trees are mostly studies on individual tree types and shapes. But in this tutorial, I show you how to paint a luscious dense forest full of watercolor trees, with the help of some gouache.
And even though this is more loose-style with not a lot of detail, I will show you how to sketch out a rough idea beforehand to get a plan for shapes and shading.
