3 Transformative Beliefs to Expand Your Growth

Ten years ago when I started my business, I had NO idea how powerful mindset was. In fact, when I’d even hear the term mindset or “transformative beliefs”, I’d cringe and roll my eyes. It can’t be all that important, I’d think to myself….just keep hustlin', right?

Well, fast forward ten years and mindset, thoughts, beliefs, whatever you want to call it are what I put probably 90% of my time, energy and efforts into studying and transforming.

So much so that I spent $25,000 this year on 1:1 mindset coaching…a few calls in and it’s changing my liiiiiiife.

Why is this?

Well, let’s break it down and simplify it a bit:

Your emotions inform your thoughts which then inform your beliefs and your beliefs inform your actions.

Every single action you take in family life, work life, life-life alllllllllll stems from a cascade of subconscious and conscious thoughts and emotions that have most likely been there from childhood and even before!

Some of these emotional responses and thoughts are more hard to budge than others. For example, take my best friend's pure hatred for any kind of fish since throwing up in her jacket from a fishy smell at a pier when she was 7 years old.

And some of them are more malleable! But either way, if you want to change the results of your life, I now know, you MUST start with your inner world first.

3 Transformative Beliefs to Transform Your Growth 

#1: Whatever problem arises, my future self has already figured it out

This right here is what I repeat to myself at 2:03am when the cortisol in my body starts to spike from those anxious thoughts! Life is hard. Finances, where is the money going to come from? Where did the money go (ha!)? Why is it hard for me to make money??! Or, worries about kids, spouses, future, YOU NAME IT! You know what’s cool? Your future self has already worked out that problem and forgotten about it.

Focus on that! Obviously address the problem and don’t let it fester. I like to utilize breathwork and meditation in those moments of stress to regulate my nervous system. Remember, the problem isn’t bigger than you and you already have it figured out. 

 

#2: I am open to the possibility that what I am doing right now isn’t yet my life’s purpose

This right here is something my mentor George Yueh taught me. I love this one because it opens up your life to SO much magic and possibility. Not that I don’t like my job or my life right now…in fact just the opposite! I’m super content with my home life and work life. But just imagine where you were 5 years ago or even 3 years ago! Five years ago I was designing wedding stationery and working over 80 hours a week. And in just a few short years I’m now generating most of my revenue through passive income streams like online courses!

Stay open and trust that you are here on purpose and that ignites a whole new level of magic!

 

#3: Where focus goes, energy flows

This ties in what I was saying in the intro of this post. Where your focus goes, your thoughts go. And this breeds your beliefs which breed your actions. Think about it! If you stew and ruminate over some area of stress in your life, how is your body going to feel? Tight? Constricted? Hot? Compare that to if you bring clarity and calm into your inner world and the energy in your body becomes still. This is why I always try to remind myself that whatever I’m facing in this current moment—the mold issues in our home, the thouuuusands of dollars we had to spend to recover our health after mold toxicity, etc. etc.—my future self has already worked through it, is feeling better and is no longer worried about all that money being spent.

 

So, there you go! Which of these three stood out to you? Take these beliefs to heart and make them your own. They can truly change it all and help you grow!
